Commissioners Pontius and Wheeler recognized for their 10 years of service.
PORT LUDLOW WA, November 11, 2009— Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue Fire Commissioners Robert Pontius and Dave Wheeler were recognized by the Washington Fire Commissioners Association as honorary life members of the association at a ceremony that was held on Friday, October 23, 2009 in Spokane, Washington. An honorary life member is an individual who has served as an active member of the association for a period of not less than ten (10) years.
Concerning the recognition, Fire Chief Ed Wilkerson said, “Port Ludlow is very fortunate to have five very dedicated and talented individuals serving as the elected board of the fire district. The years of service that Commissioners Pontius and Wheeler have given to the community and the fire district are indicative of the ongoing commitment that our commissioners have to our organization.”
Commissioners Pontius and Wheeler join PLFR Commissioner Bill Hansen in attaining the honorary life member status.
