Administrative Team

Ed Wilkerson, Fire Chief
Chief Executive Officer

Chief Wilkerson began his fire service career in 1977 as a summer fire fighter with Jackson County Fire District # 3 in Southern Oregon.  Since then he has held full time positions as a paramedic, firefighter, lieutenant and battalion chief prior to being appointed Fire Chief in 2005.  He came to Port Ludlow from Vancouver Washington where he was employed by Clark County Fire District # 6. Prior to working in Vancouver, Chief Wilkerson worked with emergency service providers in Oregon, Alaska and Saudi Arabia. Chief Wilkerson has an Associate of Science degree in Fire Protection Technology and has attended numerous National Fire Academy courses, including four years in the Executive Fire Officer Program.

Chief Wilkerson and his wife Sally enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and boating. They both feel fortunate to live and work in such a wonderful community.

Randy Coggan, Assistant Chief
Operations/Training Chief

Assistant Chief Coggan began his fire service career as a resident firefighter with Prince George County (MD) in 1975.  During the course of his career, he has served in numerous positions as firefighter, company officer, inspector and as Fire Chief for Ventura County and the City of Oxnard in California and the City of Redmond, Vashon Island Fire & Rescue, and Grays Harbor Fire District No. 5 in Washington. Prior to coming to Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue, AC Coggan worked for Microsoft as their Enterprise Crisis Manager and is a certified Business Resiliency Manager (CBRM).  He has received training and certification in several Fire Service specialty areas and has written numerous articles for fire service publications. AC Coggan has a BA in Mass Communications and a Juris Doctorate from Stetson College of Law in Florida.

AC Coggan and his wife Virginia stay busy working and raising their six year old son Tristan.  They enjoy spending time with their other grown children, Taylor, 24 and Jennifer, 29.  Assistant Chief Coggan and Virginia have two grandchildren.

Tanya Cray
Administrative Assistant

Tanya has been with Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue since March of 2008.  Prior to beginning her employment as our Administrative Assistant, she had extensive experience in business and personnel management with a customer service and public interaction focus.  Tanya obtained her BS in Social Services and Sociology from Central Washington University and has been a life long resident of Jefferson County. 

 

Administrative Assistant Cray lives in Port Ludlow with her husband Jared and their two children and they enjoy the outdoors, fishing and participating in a variety of sports.
